Spring is not one commute or one kind of day
Living near Klein or Gleannloch Farms can create a different weekly rhythm from living along the Rayford corridor. Some residents organize their days around I-45, while others spend time commuting along the Grand Parkway, SH 99. A location label alone does not tell us how much time you spend traveling, when you can speak privately, or what happens after you finally get home.
Every Thought Psychiatry offers a way to consider those practical realities alongside your mental health needs. Sarah Allison, PMHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing in-person care in Conroe and telehealth across Texas when appropriate. There is no Spring office. Choosing a visit format begins with your clinical needs and circumstances, rather than an assumption that everyone in the area has the same route or availability.
When the transition from commuter to caregiver feels impossible
A commute can leave you physically home before your mind has caught up. You may move directly from traffic and work messages into meals, homework, or caring for a family member. Over time, sleep can shrink and ordinary requests can feel disproportionately difficult. Irritability, worry, emotional exhaustion, or feeling detached are worth discussing, even when you are still getting everything done.
Care can explore the pressures that keep you in problem-solving mode, along with mood symptoms, physical health, and recovery time. We do not assume that better scheduling alone will solve depression or anxiety. Psychotherapy may address boundaries, self-criticism, and relationship conflict, while practical supports make the plan easier to use. Medication can be considered when appropriate, but it is not presented as a substitute for understanding the demands surrounding you.
Supporting teens and the adults trying to help them
Families may seek care after noticing a teen becoming withdrawn, falling behind, worrying constantly, or reacting strongly to everyday changes. Others are unsure whether inconsistent schoolwork points to ADHD, poor sleep, anxiety, or something else. For teens ages 15 and older, assessment creates room for both caregiver observations and the young person's own experience, including concerns that may not be obvious at home.
Homeschoolers are welcome, and support does not assume that all learning happens in a conventional classroom. We ask about routines, social connection, independent work, and functioning beyond grades. Confidentiality and its limits are discussed clearly, along with the caregiver's role. The aim is a plan the teen can participate in, not another set of expectations delivered without their input or a promise that treatment will produce a particular academic result.
A whole-person approach with careful treatment choices
Every Thought Psychiatry follows a More than meds philosophy, considering physical, biological, emotional, and spiritual well-being. An evaluation includes symptoms, medical history, sleep, nutrition, medications, supplements, and substance use. Targeted lab work may be useful when thyroid function, iron, vitamin D, or another medical concern could affect the picture. Testing is guided by the situation rather than ordered as a universal solution.
Treatment may include CBT-informed psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, conflict resolution, conservative medication management, or nutraceuticals when appropriate. Faith-integrated discussion is optional. If attention is the concern, we consider sleep and nutritional deficits, anxiety, and medical contributors before assuming ADHD. When medication is appropriate, benefits, possible side effects, interactions, and follow-up are discussed. The goal is a thoughtful fit with your needs, not a predetermined prescription.
Making a practical choice between Conroe and telehealth
The office is at 1006 Windsor Lakes Blvd, Suite 150, Conroe, TX 77384. Your route from Spring may involve I-45, SH 99, or other roads depending on where you begin. Check current conditions rather than relying on a fixed travel estimate. Ask the practice to confirm parking and building entry details before your first visit, and include the suite number when saving the address.
Texas telehealth may reduce travel, but it still needs protected time. Choose a private space, check your connection, and avoid trying to fit a sensitive conversation into a moving vehicle or a public setting. You must be physically in Texas. Some clinical situations and prescribing requirements may favor an in-person visit, so discuss your preferences and needs before assuming that every appointment can happen online.
Clear pricing and an uncomplicated first contact
Call or text 281-938-8777 to ask about scheduling and visit format. The initial 75-minute evaluation costs $315. Follow-ups are $150 for 25 minutes or $250 for a 50-minute integrated appointment. The practice is cash-pay direct-care, with superbills available for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Insurance benefits vary; ask your plan what information it requires and whether your visits may qualify.
To prepare, collect your medications and supplements, prior treatment history, and a few concrete examples of what is hard right now. That might be panic before the commute, exhaustion after caregiving, or a teen spending hours trying to begin assignments. You do not need to decide the diagnosis yourself. Beginning with the effect on daily life gives the evaluation a useful starting point.
